Review: Magic-Borne by C.L. Schneider

I hate it when a series I love comes to an end…

But when the end is as well-thought-out and well-written as this one, it’s really difficult to be mad. (Even though I am anyway! Why is it over?! Why?!)

The Crown of Stones: Magic-Borne by C.L. Schneider

In The Crown of Stones: Magic-Price (Book 1) & The Crown of Stones: Magic-Scars (Book 2), I fell in love with C.L. Schneider‘s writing and characters. Her world is so vivid and imaginative, the realm of Mirra’kelan comes alive on the page, and it’s difficult not to get drawn in.

The Crown of Stones: Magic-Borne is the third and final tale in the saga of Ian Troy (Though I have my fingers crossed, hoping for more in this universe!). Ian is burdened with magic and responsibility, both of which are difficult for him to bear. With his loyal band of friends in perpetual danger by association, Ian feels, now more than ever, a  drive to distance himself and find a way to rid himself of the dangerous Crown of Stones, no matter the cost.

The destinies of Mirra’kelan & Ian’s entire race hang in the balance. He wonders if he has the power and the will to change the path he sees before him, before it’s too late. Or is his Fate already set in stone?

Fantasy fans: If you haven’t read this series yet, hop to it! Get yourself some strong coffee and a big box of kleenex! The Crown of Stones: Magic-Borne is an emotional roller-coaster, and you won’t be able to step away!

Little known fact: There’s a mention, in the book, of someone who may or may not be yours truly. But I’ll never tell 🙂
